Sonoma homeowners don't need another sales pitch about their roof — they need someone who shows up, explains what's actually wrong, and fixes it right the first time.
Before Roof Repair Smedway was a name on a truck, our foremen were already up on ladders across Sonoma, CA, figuring out which shingle brands actually hold their seal through a rough season and which ones just look good in a showroom.
We don't treat licensing as a formality — it's proof that the person on your roof knows what they're doing and that you're covered if anything goes sideways.
A roof repair that's "close enough" tends to fail again within a year, usually during the exact storm it was supposed to handle. We don't build that way.
Every lead installer carries current Sonoma, CA credentials.
A midnight call gets the same urgency as a noon call.
No invoice surprises once work is underway.
Faster arrivals because we're already close by.
Catching a roof problem at the "annoying" stage is almost always cheaper than catching it at the "emergency" stage.
None of the six signs below require an emergency call on their own, but each one is worth a scheduled inspection before it turns into something bigger.
If the water coming off your downspouts looks gritty, the shingle surface is thinner than it should be.
Shingles that curl at the edges have lost flexibility and are more likely to crack in the next windstorm.
Daylight visible through the attic roof boards means water has the same path in.
A spreading brown ring on a ceiling almost always means water is tracking in from somewhere on the roof.
Rooms that run noticeably hotter than the rest of the house often trace back to roof or attic issues.
A bare patch after high wind is a direct gap in your roof's weather barrier that needs covering right away.
We split our work into specific service lanes because a wind-lifted shingle and a full system replacement need completely different crews and timelines.
Below is the full breakdown of what we cover in Sonoma, so you can see roughly where your situation fits before you even call.
When wind or hail rips open a section of roofing, we tarp it fast to stop water intrusion, then schedule the permanent fix right behind it.
Our residential scope covers shingle repair, full reroofs, ventilation upgrades, and skylight flashing fixes.
Commercial roofs run different membrane systems entirely, and our crews are trained specifically on TPO, EPDM, and modified bitumen.
Material selection is part of the replacement conversation, matched to your climate exposure and budget.
Scheduled maintenance catches loose flashing and clogged valleys before the next storm turns them urgent.
If your roof has an architectural quirk, we scope it personally rather than forcing a standard fix.
Four steps, no surprises in between — here's exactly what happens after you pick up the phone.
A dispatcher logs your address, roof type, and the problem, then schedules based on urgency.
The inspection covers decking, flashing, and ventilation, not just the obvious visible damage.
An itemized estimate is delivered before any work starts, covering materials, labor, and cleanup.
Once approved, the crew completes the work to manufacturer spec and cleans the site before leaving.
We could list a dozen more reasons to work with us, but these six are the ones Sonoma homeowners mention most often when they leave a review.
Being local means we're rarely the crew still driving in from somewhere else.
We'd rather lose a bid on an honest price than win one that grows later.
Our installers follow manufacturer spec on every underlayment overlap and fastener pattern, not general guesswork.
Every job includes a written labor warranty separate from the shingle manufacturer's coverage.
We're not your insurance company, but we make that part of the process easier.
Our technicians explain their reasoning so you're deciding with full information.
Our guarantee covers our labor specifically: if the completed work doesn't match the agreed scope, we correct it at no extra cost.
We also guarantee the number on your estimate — barring a scope change you approve first, that's the number on your invoice.
None of this is a marketing line — it's how every Sonoma job actually gets closed out, warranty paperwork included.
We stage crews across Sonoma, CA so a storm hitting one part of the region doesn't leave the rest of Sonoma waiting.
Because our crews already know Sonoma's layout, we rarely lose time to a wrong-turn delay that out-of-area companies deal with constantly.
Homeowners just outside Sonoma proper sometimes assume they're too far for a standard visit, but our dispatch radius usually reaches further than people expect.
